Studies on Residual Organophosphorous Pesticides in Military Supply Vegetables



Abstract
Although a pesticide is unavoidable factor of an increased foods, it becomes an issue on public health because more powerful artificial insecticides are developed compared with natural insecticides.
This is carry out to furnish information on residual pesticides in military supply vegetables and offer a way on hummanbeing.
5 pesticides for 2 vegetables were tested and resulted in
1. All organophosphorous pesticide residue levels in tested vegetables were below the tolerance limits for organophosphorous pesticide residue on foods on korea.
2. EPN, chloropyrifos residues were not detected in any of the sample.
3. Frequencies of pesticide detection in vegetables were between 5~15% malathion, parathion, and between 20~30% diazinon.
Presently, it is considered that the organophosphourous pesticideresidues in 2 military supply vegetables may not be harmful levels to humanbeing.
